After a late start on Tuesday, we finally boarded the mini-bus leaving for Claveria, Cagayan. Traveling for 3 hours we finally reach Claveria and load our things onto a Jeepney that would take us to Calanasan, Apayao, Philippines. Apayao is a remote mountain provoince in the northern philippines, there are many NPA (New People’s Army) Communist Guerillas in these mountain areas.

After traveling for another 4 hours we arrived in Calanasan. We thank the Lord that it did not rain on the way up or on the way home, but for the three days we were in Calanasan it rained non-stop. The place where we arrived was suppose to be a Pentecostal church, but I remember in the book of acts chapter 19 “He said unto them, have ye received the Holy ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues and prophesied.”

This was a Pentecostal church, but not even one person was filled with the Holy Ghost. This just isn’t right! So we taught on the Holy Spirit and Faith and most all of them were filled especially the young people. Praise the Lord! We had a good time in Calanasan, and hope to return. On the way home down the Mountain we encountered a tree in the road and had to move it. The tree fell across the road due to a mud slide from all the rain. Thank God we were not on the road when the mud slide occurred! Hallelujah! Enjoy the pics below from the trip!
